This policy explains how J.J. Eatherley ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you visit jjeatherley.com or place an order. We are the data controller for that information.
What we collect
Information you give us when you order or get in touch: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, a phone number if you provide one, and the content of your messages. Information collected automatically: basic usage and device data through cookies and similar technology, described in our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
To process and deliver your orders, to answer enquiries about work, commissions and lessons, to handle returns and support, to meet our legal and accounting duties, and, only where you have agreed, to send occasional updates about new work. You can opt out of updates at any time.
Legal bases
We rely on performance of our contract with you to fulfil orders, our legitimate interests in running and improving the shop, our legal obligations for tax and accounting, and your consent for marketing and non-essential cookies.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf: Shopify, which runs our store and checkout; our payment providers; our print partner, which fulfils prints; and delivery carriers. We share only what each one needs, and we never sell your data.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK-approved transfer mechanisms.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet legal and tax requirements, then delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to certain processing, and request portability. To exercise any of these, email jack@jjeatherley.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
